kirri diffuser oils are fragrance oils, not essential oils. Here's which oil fits your diffuser, how to use it, how long it lasts and how to use it safely.
What are kirri fragrance oils?
- Fragrance oils, not essential oils: each scent is a blend of notes, like the sandalwood, cedar and amber in Santal Woods, rather than a single plant extract.
- From French perfumery: our oils come from French perfumery, and the finished oils are made in Australia.
- The same every time: a blended scent smells the same bottle after bottle.
- For home fragrance only: they're made for diffusers and oil burners, not for skin, baths or massage.
Which oil fits your diffuser?
- Micro Oil (15ml): fits the Micro Diffuser and the Element diffuser.
- Macro Oil (30ml): fits the Beacon and Pillar diffusers.
- Aura Oil (100ml): also fits Beacon and Pillar, and is the main Beacon refill.
How to use them
- Screw the bottle in: Element, Beacon and Pillar are waterless, so there's no water to add and no drops to measure.
- Set the intensity in the kirri app: choose delicate, subtle, radiant or intense.
- Start on delicate: then turn it up until the room smells right.
- Using a Micro Diffuser? Follow the instructions that come with it. Oil burner or water diffuser: the 15ml Micro Oil has a dropper, so add a few drops and follow your burner or diffuser's instructions.
How long do they last?
These are typical times, not guarantees. Higher intensity and longer schedules use oil faster.
- Element with a 15ml Micro Oil: about 1 to 3 months.
- Beacon or Pillar with a 30ml Macro Oil: about 2 to 6 months.
- Beacon or Pillar with a 100ml Aura Oil: about 6 to 12 months.
Storing your oils
- Somewhere cool and dark: keep spare bottles out of direct sunlight.
- Cap on tight: close the bottle when it isn't in the diffuser.
- Away from heat: heaters and hot cars can change the scent over time.
Using them safely
- Not for your body: never apply to skin, add to a bath, use for massage or swallow.
- Out of reach: store bottles and diffusers away from children and pets.
- Check the label: read the safety directions on the bottle before use, and ask your vet if you have questions about pets.
- Wipe up spills: oil can mark timber, stone and painted surfaces.
