Micro Oil (15ml) fits the kirri Micro and Element diffusers. Macro Oil (30ml) and Aura Oil (100ml) fit the Beacon and Pillar, while traditional refills (100ml and 500ml) are only for reed, wood, car and rock diffusers.

Electric diffusers: Micro, Element, Beacon and Pillar
All four are waterless. The oil bottle screws straight in, so there's nothing to pour and no water or heat.
- Micro and Element: Micro Oil (15ml) only. It won't screw into the Beacon or Pillar.
- Beacon: Aura Oil (100ml) is the main refill, with the 100ml probe fitted. Macro Oil (30ml) works with the short probe in the box.
- Pillar: Aura Oil (100ml) or Macro Oil (30ml). It arrives with the 100ml probe fitted.
- How long a bottle lasts: 15ml in the Element is typically 1 to 3 months. In the Beacon or Pillar, 30ml is 2 to 6 months and 100ml is 6 to 12 months, depending on intensity and hours run.
Reed, wood, car and rock diffusers
- 200ml reed diffuser: the 500ml traditional refill is made for it, and typically lasts 4 to 8 months topping one up. The 100ml works too.
- Wood, 100ml reed and car diffusers: the 100ml traditional refill is made for these. The 500ml works too.
- Rock and other passive diffusers: traditional refills suit these as well.
- Wood diffuser tip: fill the top bowl no more than three-quarters full, and stick to one scent, since the oil sinks through the wood.

Changing scents in a smart diffuser
Unscrew the old bottle and screw the new one in. Each time you change bottles, we suggest running the nozzle cleaning solution through for a few minutes, so residue from the last oil doesn't build up in the nozzle.
Why you can't swap them
Traditional refills are high in perfumer's alcohol. That's what lets a reed or wood diffuser scent a room with no motor at all. In an electric diffuser, the same alcohol causes damage.
So never put a refill in a Micro, Element, Beacon or Pillar, even as a stopgap. We explain more in can you put reed diffuser oil in an electric diffuser.
Can I use kirri oil in an oil burner?
The 15ml Micro Oil has a dropper lid, so it works in an oil burner. The 30ml Macro Oil and 100ml Aura Oil don't have a dropper. They're made to screw into the Beacon and Pillar.
What about other brands?
We can only vouch for kirri oils. They're made to fit and run in kirri diffusers, so that's what we recommend. If you're unsure about something you already own, email help@houseofkirri.com before you try it.
FAQ
Will a 15ml oil fit my Beacon?
No. Micro Oil (15ml) fits the Micro and Element only. The Beacon takes Aura Oil (100ml), or Macro Oil (30ml) with the short probe.
Can I put a traditional refill in my Element?
No. Traditional refills are high in perfumer's alcohol, which damages electric diffusers. Use Micro Oil (15ml).
Which refill is made for my 200ml reed diffuser?
The 500ml traditional refill. The 100ml refill works too.
